We are excited for you to join us and experience our wonderful Meta Kula (community).
Here are some suggestions to help you prepare for your first visit. If you are new to yoga, check out our FAQ page to answer some of your questions.
When to Arrive:
To allow you time to change and relax on your mat before class, please arrive 15 minutes before class begins in order to check in, fill out your one time registration form, meet your teacher and get acquainted with the studio. If you have any injuries, concerns or questions, this is the perfect time to approach your teacher and introduce yourself. Please refrain from wearing strong perfume or cologne, as this may be disturbing to fellow students.
We aim to create a space that is supportive, nourishing, energizing and a haven from the stresses of daily life. Please be mindful of your energy and attitude when arriving to Meta. We have an open studio (no doors between the lobby and the yoga studio), so sound travels. Please wait to enter the lobby of the studio until the current class has finished. We are conveniently located next to a coffee shop- Cuppa Joe (6am-3pm) if you arrive before the last class has finished.
When you Arrive:
When you arrive, please remove your shoes upon entering the lobby and place them under the benches. All belongs can be placed in the cubbies and jackets on the hooks provided in the lobby. We have a changing room in the rear of the lobby, a water station, and our bathrooms are located on the first floor of the building (grab the key by our front counter). Please do not bring mobile phones, shoes, or bags into the yoga room.
What to Bring:
Please bring a yoga mat and bottle of water with you. If you need a mat, we have studio mats available that are included in the drop in price. Water bottles and a variety of yoga mats are available for purchase at the studio.
What to Wear:
Wear breathable comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. We suggest bare feet. If you forget your clothes or would like to purchase yoga attire, we sell a variety of bottoms and tops for both men and women in our Meta Boutique.
Hot Classes are 100+ Degrees:
It is advisable to wear a little less clothing; yoga shorts that wick well for this style class. We suggest bringing a hand towel or full-length towel depending on your preference. Both sizes of yoga towels are sold in our boutique as well. Bring a change of clothes and an extra dry towel for after class. Although we do not have showers at the studio, the studio cools down quickly after class to allow you to change gears quickly for your next adventure. Our hot classes are very popular with our locals, who like you, live busy lives and come from the slopes and head to work after class.
How to Prepare for class:
● Avoid eating a heavy meal at least 1-2 hrs before class.
● Hydration: Come to class well hydrated and drink water throughout class
● Come to hot classes early as well to help your body adapt to the new environment.
