New to Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga?

Here are a few Q & A’s to help you feel more comfortable about one of the fastest growing sports in the world. 

Q: What are the dates of the  SUP YOGA Season?

A: June 16-August 28  (Weather permitting). Always check the online schedule for added days and if weather permits and extended season or shortened season.

Q: What is the class cost?

A: $38 includes: Equipment, Yoga and Paddle Lesson

Q: Do I need to pre-register? What is the app for classes – to register and check times

A: Yes, preregistration is highly recommended as class size is limited to 10 spots/10 boards. We cannot guarantee you a spot if you show up without pre-registering. If you have your own board and anchor, you are welcome to drop in and pay on site. Download the app: mindbodyconnect, search Meta Yoga.

Q: Where do we meet and when?

Q: Where do I park?

A: On the south end of Main Street, behind La Cima Mall, under the Main Street Station or by the Riverwalk Center. They are all 5 min walk to the Maggie Pond through the Main Street Station (across from Christy Sports/Quandary Grille)

Q: Do I need to know how to Standup Paddle Board to participate?

A: No, we will teach you the basics on how to paddle, how to stand up on the board and how to maneuver around to get you safely to and from the yoga spot.

Q: Do I need to know how to swim?

A: Knowing how to swim is highly recommended.

Q: Do I need to have yoga experience?

A: Some yoga experience is recommended but not required.

Q: Do I need my own equipment?

A: No, we have rental boards available onsite at each location included in the price of the class.

Q: Are the classes good for beginners? 

A: Yes, classes are all levels unless specified on the web site.  We cater classes to mixed levels and will offer poses for the beginner and the advanced student.

Q: What is the minimum age for SUP YOGA?

A: Any child that can SWIM and is comfortable paddling a board on their own is welcome to join. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Q: What if I own my own board?

A: $13 discount when you BYOB (Bring your own board)

Q: Are there any discounts for locals?

A:  Yes, $5 off with a local’s ID- Summit/Park Counties (Inquire for discount code)

Q: Can I use my Meta Membership/Punch Pass for SUP YOGA Classes?

A: No, but we do offer SUP Specific Punch Passes. Click here for Prices

Q: What do I wear?

A: Yoga/comfortable clothes, extra layers, sunscreen and water. Bring an extra change of clothes/towel in case you get wet.  Hat/visor/lip balm recommended. Leashes for sunglasses are recommended. Please leave all valuables- cell phones, wallets, keys on shore.

Q: What is the cancellation Policy?

A: 48 Hours for a full refund. With in 24 hrs of the class we can issue you a refund minus a 15% service charge if your spot can be filled.

Q: What if it starts raining during class?

A: The weather in Colorado changes quickly and Safety is our #1 priority. Your instructor will assess any safety concerns and determine if it is still safe to run the class with the current weather.

Q: Can I get a refund if I leave 1/2 through class

A: If the class runs, no refunds will be issued.

Q: What if I can’t make the classes or I have a big group, do you do privates?

A: Yes, please email Leslie@metayogastudios.com with the day, date, time and number of people.  Private Max is 15.
