Who We Are: Meta Yoga Studios in Breckenridge & Frisco, CO

acknowledgement

We exist on the traditional and ancestral territory of the Southern Ute Indian Tribes, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our commitment includes annual reparations and ongoing work in diversity, equity, and inclusion — because we believe the mountain is for everyone, and so is this practice.

Our Philosophy: Come as You Are

Meta Yoga Studios was founded on the belief that the best version of this practice is accessible, honest, and rooted in community. Since 2018, owners Kimberly and Krishna Ghorai have grown Meta into Summit County's most beloved yoga home — two studios, a dedicated teaching community, and a family of students who keep showing up. What started as a single studio has become the heartbeat of wellness in the Colorado Rockies.

Meta supports the traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga perspective: come as you are, and bring all sides of yourself. There is no right kind of body for yoga, no right amount of experience, no right reason to show up. There is only showing up — and that's enough.

We teach athletic power flows and slow, meditative Yin. We teach alignment-focused fundamentals and recovery-oriented Restorative sessions. We have a class for the skier whose hips are screaming after a week on the mountain and a class for the person who just wants 60 minutes of quiet. Whatever brings you through our door, we have a teacher for that.

two studios. one vision.

Our Breckenridge studio is home to High Altitude Yoga and Mountain Recovery — rooted in the unique demands and gifts of practicing at 9,600 feet.

Our Frisco studio adds heated yoga to the menu, with a full schedule of hot and warm yoga classes year-round.

Both locations share the same community-first ethos that has made Meta the yoga home of Summit County for over a decade.

Krishna has been practicing yoga in Breckenridge for many years prior to the studios’ inception and within the Meta community. His passion for self-care infuses into every aspect of his life and is shared with all he encounters.

Kimberly started working at Meta in March 2015. After her time spent with Meta Yoga School's teacher training, she was excited to work for a collective of individuals who truly live their yoga every day.

Together their desire is for Meta to focus on providing the highest quality yoga, with world class teachers in inspiring locations while supporting individuals to discover their best selves.
